Dongfeng Race Team of China, the winner of the Volvo Ocean Race 2017-18, was today announced as World Sailing’s 2018 Team of the Year, at the governing body’s annual conference at Sarasota in Florida.
One week ago Dongfeng Race Team won one of the most exciting Volvo Ocean Races in the event’s long history when it clinched victory in the 2017-18 edition by prevailing in a tense three-way battle in the final leg from Gothenburg to The Hague.

Dongfeng Race Team became the first Chinese-flagged campaign to win the Volvo Ocean Race today when it took the title after winning a tense and exciting final leg from Gothenburg in Sweden to The Hague in The Netherlands.
